Important Teacher App Update

In order to meet the needs of more teachers and give you more flexibility in the kind and number of devices you allow in your classrooms, we have made the decision to no longer support the native SmartCare for Teachers iOS App. Going forward, we will focus all of our efforts on making the SmartCare for Teachers Web App the best tool for all of your teachers. Over the past few months we've been making improvements to the SmartCare for Teachers Web App and it now has even more functionality than the native iOS app. Additionally, the web app is mobile responsive and runs well on both Android and iOS mobile devices, as well as on desktop browsers.

If you are already using the SmartCare for Teachers Web App, you do not need to do anything, you already have the latest and greatest version.

If you are still using the native iOS app, please delete the native iOS app from all of your Apple devices since the iOS native app will no longer function as it previously used to. Please instruct your teachers to go to https://my.smartcare.com/ on their devices and log in with their same username and password to access the Teacher Web App. Everything that was possible in the native iOS app is possible in the web app, and even more.

Important Kiosk Update

We are excited to announce a new version of the Kiosk which includes automatic updates from the Google Play Store (if the directions below are followed). Please update the Kiosk to this version by Friday, July 14th.

IMPORTANT: In order for these updates to run automatically, you will need to remove the SmartCare account from the Google Play Store and use your own Gmail account for the Kiosk. Please find the instructions below:

1) Remove the SmartCare Google Account from the Kiosk device:

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Under "Personal," tap Accounts.
  3. Tap the account you want to remove. If it's a Google Account, first tap Google.
  4. Tap More, then Remove account.
  5. If this is the only Google Account on the device, you'll need to enter your device's pattern, PIN, or password for security.

2) Add your own Google Account to the Kiosk device:

  1. If you haven't already, set up a Google account
  2. Open your device's Settings app.
  3. Tap Accounts.  Add account.  Google.
  4. Follow the instructions to add your account.
  5. If needed, repeat steps to add multiple accounts.

3) Install the new Kiosk app from the Google Play Store to the Kiosk device here:
